Kick Off the Weekend with a community gathering! Before the battles begin, join us for a special Friday Night Flicks movie screening inside the historic Cove Cinema. This isn't just any movie night, the film will be chosen by YOU!

In the weeks leading up to the convention, we will open a community vote in Discord to select the perfect Mecha or Sci-Fi themed movie to kick off New England Mech Con 2026. Whether it's a classic anime, a cult sci-fi favorite, or a hidden gem, the community decides what plays on the big screen.

Grab a seat, relax, and enjoy the show with fellow pilots. It's the perfect way to meet new friends, settle in, and get hyped for the weekend ahead.

What to Expect:

• The Vote: Watch the #war_council channel in Discord. We will announce the poll when we post it! The movie with the most votes wins!
• The Vibe: Casual, social, and immersive. Sit back in the historic cinema while surrounded by the ship's atmosphere.
• Quiet Hours: To respect the ship and other guests, lights out and quiet hours begin promptly at 10:00 PM. Please be ready to wrap up and head to your crew racks by then.

Event Details:

• Location: Cove Cinema, 2nd Deck aft onboard the USS Massachusetts.
• RSVP: Requested. Please indicate your attendance for the Friday Night Flicks when purchasing your convention ticket to allow us to arrange enough seating.
• Dinner: Will be served at the ship's galley between 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM.
